Tavakkoli, Houshang (born 1948, Tehran)
Houshang Tavakkoli began his acting career in theater in 1967 and then appeared for the first time on camera in 1976 when he took part in the short film ‘Buried Alive’, directed by Siamak Bayat.
He also starred in the movie ‘The Cloudy House’ (1986), directed by Akbar Khajouei.
In 1979, he also directed the play ‘The Lonely Runner’.
Tavakkoli has appeared in several TV series, including ‘Mirza Koochak Khan’ (1988), ‘Under the Blade’ (2006), ‘Gharib's World’ (2007), ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’ (2008) and ‘A Cage for Flying’ (2010).
He has also taken part in a few movies, such as ‘The Devil’ (1990), ‘Explosion in an Operation Room’ (1991), ‘Crossing The Red Line’ (1995), ‘Pilot’ (1997), ‘Moon-Like’ (2007), ‘The Snitch’ (2008) and ‘The Golden Cage’ (2010).
