Afzali, Mahnaz (born April 19, 1963, Qasr-e Shirin)
Mahnaz Afzali was born in Qasr-e Shirin, Kermanshah Province. She studied natural sciences in high school and later took acting classes for two years.
She started her amateur acting career in 1978 with stage acting and made her cinematic debut with ‘Report of a Murder’ in 1986.
Afzali has appeared in some movies, including ‘Night Nurse’ (1987), ‘Suspicion’ (1992), ‘Tears and a Smile’ (1994), ‘The Last Port’ (1994), ‘The Other Side of the Mirror’ (1997), and ‘The Game’ (2004).
After a few years of acting, she switched to making documentaries, mainly focusing on topics related to women. Some of her productions are ‘No Witness’, ‘Red Card’ and ‘Womanly’.
Her husband, Hassan Pourshirazi, is also an Iranian actor.
