Qaderi, Iraj (born January 5, 1935, Tehran - died May 6, 2012, Karaj)

Born Amir Iraj Qaderi, he left his pharmacology studies unfinished to pursue artistic endeavors.

He made his film debut with 'Incidents Intersection' in 1955.

In 1962, he founded the Panorama Film Company with Mousa Afshar.

During his 56 years in the film industry, he directed 41 movies, acted in 72 films, produced nine and wrote the screenplay for four others.

Qaderi appeared in movies such as 'The Relationship' (1969), 'The Wrath of Eagles' (1970), 'Men's Alley' (1970), 'Restless' (1973), 'Killing Brother' (1978), 'Fame' (2000), 'Aquarium' (2005), and 'The Network' (2010).

He also directed movies, including 'The Target' (1965), 'The Plunder' (1984), 'I Want to Stay Alive' (1994), 'Toutia' (1998), 'Sam and Narges' (2000), 'Aquarium' (2005), 'The Trial' (2006), 'Don't Put Your Foot Down' (2008), and 'The Network' (2010).

After a long battle with lung cancer, Qaderi finally succumbed to the disease at the age of 77.
