Jeirani, Fereidoun (born August 18, 1951, Kashmar)
Fereidoun Jeirani made his stage début with acting in a play named ‘Esmat’ in 1972.
He entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie by Mehdi Sabaghzadeh in 1981 and continued writing until 1987 when he directed his first movie.
He has directed several movies, including ‘Red’ (1998), ‘Fire and Water’ (2000), ‘The Last Supper’ (2001), ‘Pink’ (2002), ‘Season Salad’ (2004), ‘Zagros’ (2005), the trilogy of ‘Stars’ (2005), ‘Parkway’ (2006), ‘Parya's Story’ (2010), and ‘I'm a Mother’ (2010).
He has also made series such as ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’ (2008) and ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’ (2015).
Jeirani has been nominated for several awards for movies such as ‘Red’, ‘The Last Supper’, and ‘Pink’.
In addition to directing, Jeyrani is also a producer, cinematographer, screenplay writer, television anchor and journalist.
