Bazr-Afshan, Alireza (born August 6, 1976, Tehran)
Alireza Bazr-Afshan earned a degree from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic). He is widely known as a television director and screenwriter.
He has written the script for the series ‘The Story of a City’ (1999), ‘The Red Line’ (2001), ‘Only Because of You’ (2003) and ‘The Basement’ (2006) and the movie ‘Dawn’ (2006).
He has written the script for ‘Dance in the Dust’ (2002), which won him the Best Script prize from the 48th Asia Pacific Film Festival and an Iran Cinema Celebration award.
Bazr-Afshan has also directed the movies ‘Impasse’ (2007) and ‘The Trembling of Life’ (2008) and the series ‘No Pain, No Gain’ (2011) and ‘Seven Stones’ (2014).
