Motamen, Farzad (born August 10, 1958, Tehran)

Farzad Motamen studied cinema in university. In 2000, he made his directorial debut and began teaching at Sooreh University.

He has directed the films ‘Seven Acts’ (2000), ‘The White Nights’ (2002), ‘The Music Box’ (2007) and ‘Light and Shadow’ (2011).

Motamen’s ‘When did you See Sahar Last?’ (2015) was nominated for the Best Film and the Best Director awards at the 34th edition of Fajr Film Festival.

He has also tried his hand at photography, cinematography and documentary making.
