Reza Fayyazi
Fayyazi, Reza (born July 2 1953, Ahvaz)
Born in 1953 as Abdolreza Fayyazi, the actor received a high school diploma in his hometown, Ahvaz, and started acting career in theater and short films. He has also experienced directing theatrical plays.
Fayyazi enrolled in the University of Tehran, Faculty of Arts in 1975 while perusing his career in acting and theater directing. He was also involved in some student theatrical performances as part of amateur acting credits.
Besides acting, Fayyazi has tried his hand at writing, directing, hosting shows and several other cinematic professions. Further, he has written novels as well as writing poems as part of his side activities.
His name is mostly associated with on-screen works for children and young adults.
He is most known for roles in TV series ‘The World of Shirin’ and ‘Tabeta Tales’. The latter gained utmost popularity in Iran with the actors on the series shooting to huge fame
Fayyazi’s other film and series credits include appearances in such titles as ‘Ballad of Tara’ (1978), ‘Statue’ (1992), ‘The Blue-Veiled’ (1994), ‘The Fateful Day’ (1995), ‘Chariot of Death’ (1996), ‘To Be or Not to Be’ (1998), ‘Starry Sky’ (1999), ‘Smiling in the Rain’ (2010), ‘The Pahlavi Hat’ (2010) and 'Tabriz in Fog' (2011).
