Abyar, Narges (born 1970)

Narges Abyar is an Iranian author, film director and screenwriter.

Abyar studied Persian Literature and received her B.A. in this field.

She has penned some 30 books for children, young adults and adults. She has also made several short and feature-length documentaries.

The helmer began her directing career with feature film 'Objects in Mirror' in 2012.

She has made several short and documentaries about Iraq–Iran war.

Abyar has won awards from many national and international film festivals, including the Best Director award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.

‘Track 143’ (2013) and ‘Breath’ (2016) are among the female actor’s notable films with the former winning numerous awards in major film events and the latter selected as Iran 2018 Oscar entry.
