Vahid Jalilvand
Jalilvand, Vahid (born 1975, Tehran)
Vahid Jalilvand is a TV presenter and voice actor as well as a theatre and television actor. He studied Theatre Directing at the University of Tehran.
He began his artistic journey at the age of 15 by playing a role in theatre.
Besides acting in theatre, he simultaneously worked in the radio. Jalilvand's TV series debut was 'The Addiction Trap'(1994).
He made his movie debut with 'Extreme Cold' (2009).
Jalilvand has also worked as a presenter and made some documentaries along with directing and editing movies.
He played his first notable acting role in the TV series 'A Stairway to Heaven' (2009), directed by Mohammad Hussein Latify, as he starred as Persian astronomer and mathematician “Ghiyath al-Din Jamshid Kashani.”
He has also appeared in the TV series ' Remembrance' (2013) that was exclusively produced by iFilm TV Network.
He has also directed several TV shows, including 'Rain in Another Perspective, 'Say Hi, Setareh' and '40 Minutes without Judgment', and directed the play 'Love is Not Something That Happens' with themes about Imam Hussein (PBUH).
Jalilvand has also directed documentaries such as 'Eye of the Sun' and 'Explaining the Pain of Yearning'. He was the presenter of the television program ' Rosary 3/ Tasbih 3' broadcast on Jaam-e-Jam international TV channel in the holy month of Ramadan.
He won the Best Director award for the movie 'Wednesday, 9 May' (2014) in the new vision section of Fajr International Film Festival.
