Iranian feature ‘Damascus Time’ has released a score album composed by Karen Homayounfar.
The album was unveiled along with a public screening of the movie in presence of the director, the composer and a number of cinema and film enthusiasts.
Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ focuses on security threats by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged in Damascus Airport.
Popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar as well as a number of actors from Syria and Lebanon star in the movie.
‘Damascus Time’ has recently managed to grab some awards, including Crystal Simorghs for Best Director and Best Music Composition, at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
The film which went on the local screen some days prior to the Iranian New Year or Nowruz has sold USD 3 million-plus.
Homayounfar's professional career began in 1994 in film industry, where he has composed scores for more than 30 movies and TV series and has been awarded for best music composition at various film events in Iran and abroad.
