‘Kupal’ grabs best film award at Fine Arts filmfest

‘Kupal’ has won an award at the Fine Arts Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Kazem Mollaei, the movie won the Best Cinematography Award at the event.

The flick narrates the story of a hunter and taxidermist Dr. Ahmad Kupal. The man faces a challenge just during the days leading to the Persian New Year.

The cast list includes late Levon Haftvan, Nazanian Farahani, Pouria Rahimi-Sam and Hossein Shamsabadi.

'Kupal' has so far claimed several awards at film events such as the 3rd Bogota Int'l Filmfest in Colombia and Canada Independent Filmfest in Montreal.

The Fine Arts Film Festival is the premier showcase for independent film held annually in Venice, California.

The 2018 edition of the event was held on May 11-13, 2018.
