Iran-Afghan film 'Parting' releases new trailer

Directed by Navid Mahmoudi, Iranian movie 'Parting' has unveiled a new trailer.

This latest trailer has been edited and published by Meisam Mirzaei.

‘Parting’ chronicles the story of two young Afghans in love, Fereshteh and Nabi. Fereshteh has to follow her parents and leave Afghanistan to find refuge in Iran.

In pursuit of a better life, Nabi decides to cross the border illegally, find Fereshteh and take her through Turkey towards Europe.

The film has won several awards from international festivals including best film award at the Tripoli Film Festival in Lebanon.

Narrating the story of suffering, the movie was introduced as the representative of Afghanistan to the 89th edition of the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
