Asghar Farhadi to run master class at Portugal fest

Asghar Farhadi is to run a master class hosted by FEST New Directors | New Films Festival in Portugal.

Twice Oscar-winning director, Farhadi, will launch classes at the Training Ground section of the event.

Born in 1972, Farhadi is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. Among his other accolades include a Golden Globe Award as well as Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Screenplay.

He was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world by Time magazine in 2012.

Training Ground hosts more than 30 master classes and 10 workshops during the festival where the participants - emerging filmmakers, film students, film enthusiasts from all over the world – experience first-class training through workshops and master classes lectured by some of the film industry’s top experts with highly acknowledged achievements.

The Training Ground section is set to be held on June 19-24, 2018.
