Iran feature film 'School' by Mohammad-Hassan Shahmohammadi is to attend the 17th Florianopolis Children’s Film Festival in Brazil.

Iran feature film 'School' by Mohammad Hassan Shahmohammadi is to attend the 17th Florianopolis Children’s Film Festival in Brazil.

Iran's 'School' will compete at the international competition section of the Brazilian film festival with 13 works from Spain, Germany, Ireland, India, Slovenia, Iceland and the UK.

Featuring minimalist storytelling, 'School' is the story of a girls' school principal who gets double-minded about punishing student violation of the school rules.

However, the students’ conditions and the presence of her own daughter at the principal’s office have made things very difficult.

Florianopolis Children’s Film Festival is considered to be the main event of the seventh art dedicated to children in Brazil, opening space for co-production and cultural integration between countries.

The 17th run of the Florianopolis Film Festival is slated for June 30-July 8, 2018 in the Brazilian city of Florianopolis.
