'Wishbone' tagged for best film award in US festival

Iranian film 'Wishbone' by Ali Atshani has been nominated for the Best Film Award among other prizes at the WIND International Film festival in the United States.

Acclaimed film 'Wishbone' has also been nominated for the Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor Male and Best Cinematography awards at the festival to take place next week.

The cinematic work compares and contrasts the ups and downs experienced by a fired coach who met a girl with whom he had a relationship several years prior.

The cast includes famous Iranian actor, Hossein Yari, and actress, Mitra Hajjar.

The WIND International Festival is scheduled to be held on February 21-23 in the Hollywood, California.

The critically acclaimed Iranian flick has already taken home numerous awards including the Best Cinematic Film at the 3rd edition of the London Independent Filmmakers Association Festival.

The film also participated at the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival Perspective section in Iran.
