Iran short 'Gray Umbrella' wins award in Colombia

Iran short film 'Gray Umbrella' has grabbed award at the 2018 International Short Film Festival Cine a la Calle (FICICA) in Colombia.

Iran short film 'Gray Umbrella' has grabbed award at the 2018 International Short Film Festival Cine a la Calle (FICICA) in Colombia.

Directed by Mohammad Poustindouz, the flick succeeded to take home the best international short film award of the festival.

The film narrates the story of a man who lives with an old permanent habit till a man with a gray umbrella walks into his life.

It is a literary adaptation of Fernando Sorrentino's 'There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting Me on the Head with an Umbrella'.

The film has been screened in several international film festivals such as Corti a Ponte Short Film Festival in Italy.

Cine a la Calle International Short Film Festival is a film festival dedicated to short films. It takes place every year by early May, featuring around 200 short films from more than 30 countries.

The event is considered to be the pioneer of its kind in Colombia and one of the most influential in Latin America.
