Brand-new comedy flick ‘Misogynist’ reveals trailer before release in Iranian theaters.

Karmi Amini’s new comedy will go for theatrical release in Iranian cinemas soon, a media report said.

The flick costars Sam Derakhshani, Gohar Kheir-Andish, Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Behrang Alavi, Elnaz Habibi and Maryam Saadat.

The new Iranian cinema offering features the story of those who go from a misogynist to feminist, a short synopsis partly read.

A media report earlier said the flick which criticized hardline feminists wrapped in acidic humor will soon replace box-office hit ‘Texas’ by Masoud Atyabi.

‘Texas’ has an action comic theme as well enjoying some foreign stars.

“Never threaten an Iranian, even in Texas,” a tagline from the flick says.

Pejman Jamshidi, Sam Derakhshani and Hamid Farrokhnejad star in the movie.
