The 56th Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, the 28th Cinequest Film Festival in the US, the 30th Filmfest Dresden – International Short Film Festival in Germany, the 3rd Animavi International Film Festival of Poetic Animation in Italy, and the 18th MONSTRA Lisbon Animated Film Festival in Portugal have been the other hosts of the animation so far.

A lineup of 75 animations from countries across the globe has been selected to go on the screen at the 17th Hiroshima International Animation Festival.

The festival has been held under the spirit of Love & Peace, long since its establishment in 1985.

It serves as a place of true international cultural exchange through the development of animation art, and also as a stepping stone for successful future in animation industry.

The 17th edition of the Hiroshima International Animation Festival is slated for June 23-27, 2018.
