Iran epic drama 'The Survivor' by late Seifollah Daad is themed on occupation of the Palestinian city of Haifa by Israel in 1948.

'The Survivor' recounts how a loving grandmother does the unthinkable to save her only surviving grandchild from being raised by a Zionist couple.

The movie cast list includes Syrian actors and actresses such as Jamal Soleiman, Salma al-Masri Bassam Kousa, Ghassan Massoud and Giana Eid.

The flick score is made by Iran topnotch musician, composer and conductor Majid Entezami.

'The Survivor' grabbed noms for best screenplay and best actress Simorgh awards at the 14th edition of Fajr Film Festival, winning Special Jury Prize of the event.
