Children musical flick ‘Auntie Frog’ releases trailer prior to public screening in Iran.

Children musical flick ‘Auntie Frog’ has released a very cheerful teaser trailer prior to its public screening in Iranian cinema halls.

The kids’ film directed by Afshin Hashemi and produced by Fereshteh Taerpour will be screened after the holy month of Ramadan, the holy fasting month in Islam.

Known as Eid al-Fitr screening period, the film will go on the silver screens next week.

'Auntie Frog' is the same name that glittered years back in the movie 'Golnar' with due attention to Iranian culture in a musical and educative setting for children.

The film with full representation of fantasy features a nice set of puppets made by Marzieh Mahboub.

Besides making it an enjoyable experience for kids, ‘Auntie Frog’ aims to introduce family concepts and close-knitted relations of grandmothers and their grandchildren as well as pathways to collective collaboration in dealing with issues.

Born in 1975, the director Hashemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Directing.

He began his acting career in theater and made his cinematic debut in 2003 with the movie ‘So Close, So Far’.

Some of the other movies in which he has played roles include ‘Barefoot in Heaven’, ‘In the Name of Father’, ‘The Child and The Angel’, and ‘Please Do not Disturb’.

Hashemi has also appeared in a number of series, including ‘Bench’, ‘Saadat Guesthouse’, ‘The Safe’ and ‘The First Choice’.

Besides acting, he has directed the movie ‘I Hope You Are Not Tired’ in 2012 and plays a traditional musical instrument named “Kamancheh.”

ifilm has recently aired one of his appearances in ‘Laboratory’.
