Iranian ‘A Beautiful Woman’ to go on screen in Bosnia

Iranian film is to go on screen in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Iranian short film ‘A Beautiful Woman’ has been selected to go on screen at the 4th edition of the VIVA Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Directed by Seyyed-Sajjad Mousavi, the Iranian film will compete with 32 other titles at the Religion category of the Bosnian event.

The film has been selected to vie at the VIVA from among 1550 submitted titles from 110 countries.

“A beautiful woman and an uncertain future loomed ahead of two girls and a court”, a short synopsis of the 9-minute flick reads.

‘A Beautiful Woman’ had its premiere screening at the Cinema Salvation section during the 36th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

Mousavi Won the Grand Prix of the VIVA for his ‘Man From Salt’ in 2018 edition of the Bosnian event.

The VIVA Film Festival is an annual documentary film festival that is based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The festival showcases international films with ecological, religious and touristic themes, as well as youth-made films.

It was established by an international team of film professionals, environmentalists, diplomats, religious leaders and scholars with the purpose of promoting inter-religious dialogue, the preservation of the environment and ecotourism.

The 4th edition of the VIVA is slated for September 12-16, 2018.
