Iran top chart film 'Yellow' to go on home release

Second top-grossing movie of last Persian calendar year 'Yellow' is set to go on home release.

Directed by Mostafa Taqizadeh, the home version of the flick will be distributed by Tasvir Gostar Pasargad Company on Monday July 2, 2018.

The film went on the silver screen in Iranian cinemas last Persian calendar year and grossed 50 billion-plus Rials which ranked the film as the second best selling.

'Yellow' tells the story of four young Iranians Nahal, Hamed, Faramarz, and Nicki who are the members of a scientific genius team trying to immigrate to Europe.

The team has recently made a scientific discovery and is set to depart and go to Italy. Before doing so, they get snowed under by various problems that pop up.

The film features popular Iranian actors such as Bahram Radan, Sareh Bayat, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Shahram Haqiqatdoust, Alireza Ostadi, Hossein Mehri, Anahita Dargahi, Morteza Taqizadeh, Amir-Ali Nabavian and Ali Salehi.

The 20th edition of the Shanghai International Film Festival in China honored Mostafa Taqizadeh as the best director.

It was also selected as the closing film of Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards.
