Iran’s ambassador to Indonesia says the country has been among the top 10 in producing films based on ethical values.
Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi, who was addressing the participants in Iran’s cultural festival in the Indonesian capital, highlighted the Iranian nation’s 7000- year-old civilization and its history-long influence in the region and the world, calling for expansion of ties among nations.
The culture festival, which will also screen among other activities, Iran’s selected movies, hosted Indonesian officials and business people, as well as the ambassadors of other countries, and artists, media representatives, academics and Iranian expats and students in the country.
The Iranian ambassador noted that the acquaintance of nations with each other’s traditions and cultures could further expand their relations.
Nasrabadi stated that art is a global language, with cinema being among its most powerful tools, and said Iran always emphasizes the development of humane, ethical and religious bases.
‘Bodyguard’, and some other award-winning Iranian flicks will be screened for the audience in the festival, which will last 3 days.
