Iran short film ‘Gaze’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 26th edition of Vila do Conde Film Festival in Portugal.
Directed by Farnoush Samadi, the film will be screened in the Portuguese Film event.
The short film depicts the story of a woman who on her way back home learns about an incident on the bus. She is undecided whether to reveal the issue or not.
Written by Ali Asgari, the flick has so far represented Iran at a number of globally acclaimed film festivals, including the 70th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and the 34th edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in Iran.
‘Gaze’ also won many international awards in various film festivals including the award for best film by the audience choice at the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway.
Founded in 1993, Vila do Conde Film Festival is one of the most important cinematographic and cultural events in Portugal dedicated to short-films and is held annually in July.
The 2018 edition of the event is slated for July 14-22.
