Tina Pakravan joins Iran great feature animation

Iran actress Tina Pakravan joins ‘The Last Fiction’, auditing voice actors for the greatest Iranian feature animation in terms of technical sophistication.

Iran actress Tina Pakravan is to be in charge of selecting voice actors for the most technically sophisticated feature animation from Iran, ‘The Last Fiction’.

Ashkan Rahgozar’s animation will be voice-acted soon with the Iranian actress to audit the possible voice actors.

Christophe Rezai, Ali Reza Alavian, and Jinous Pedram are the music composer, sound recordist and editor of the animation, respectively.

‘The Last Fiction’ is the story of an evil figure in Iranian mythology, Zahak. It is an open interpretation of the story from Iran’s history and one of the central tales of the ‘Book of Kings/Shahnameh’ by great ancient Iranian poet Ferdowsi.

Animation news website Cartoon Brew has published a piece on the film, describing it as "the most polished and technically sophisticated feature to ever come out of that country."

Production of the project started in 2010, and since then over 100 animators have worked on the film.

In 2013, the film won recognition and be presented as one of the six best ongoing projects at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. In 2016, this film was praised as one of the four best animated films in the works across the globe and was invited by the Marché du Film (lit. Film Market), which is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival and one of the largest film markets in the world.
