'Millipede' to hit a new record

Abdolhassan Davoudi's latest comedy 'Millipede' to hit a new record in Iranian Box office.

The director's previous cinematic productions such as his 2001 'Bread and Love and Motorcycle 1000' have been among the successful Iranian movies.

Three days through public screening of 'Millipede', it has bagged 16,000,000,000 Rials.

The film's sell in this short time puts it in competition with the box office toppers including 'Sperm Whale 2' by Saman Moghaddam and Manouchehr Hadi's 'Wing Mirror'.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, “Reza, a criminal, finds out that a rich female doctor at war veteran hospital vows to marry a veteran. Reza who is an amputee without a leg wants to marry the doctor. However, things get out of hand in the middle.”

Actors such as Mehran Ahmadi , Sepand Amir-Soleymani, Reza Attaran, Sara Bahrami, Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Shohreh Lorestani and Omid Rouhani, among many other famous names, are on the cast list.
