Great Iran actor Jamshid Mashayekhi in after surgery care

Iran veteran actor Jamshid Mashayekhi is receiving postoperative care in "stable" condition.

Iran veteran actor Jamshid Mashayekhi has undergone post-surgery treatment and is said to be in stable condition.

Mashayekhi was transferred to the operating theater the other day for a health issue and the surgery was successfully carried out.

His son Nader Mashayekhi told local media, "Doctors have not yet announced the exact time of discharge from the hospital but he needs to stay there at least five days."

Mashayekhi is an imminent figure in Iran cinema well known for his roles in historical TV series such as ' Kamal-ol-Molk' and 'Hezar Dastan'.

He has also appeared in numerous movies, including 'The Cow' (1969), 'Retribution' (1987), 'The Fateful Day' (1994), 'A House on the Water' (2001), 'Thirteen 59' (1980)' and 'Cheque' (2011).
