Iran animated short 'Junk Girl' wins award at The Lebanese Independent Film Festival in Lebanon.
Co-directed by Mohammad Zare and Shalale Kheiri, the film has succeeded to take home the Best Animation award of the festival.
The flick narrates the story of a girl who is left alone due to her bizarre and unconventional looks.
Being different from others is the reason she is always maltreated and annoyed by them. In the end she is cast out of her society.
The film has so far vied in various international events and has been able to grab awards at some including an award for Best Production Design from 2017 Atlas & Aeris International Film Festival in the US.
2018 Lebanese Independent Film Festival, which took place on July 12-14, aimed at promoting independent film culture and encouraging its development.
