2 Iran ministries laude HIV film ‘Behind the Wall of Silence’

New Iranian flick ‘Behind the Wall of Silence’ themed on HIV/AIDS has been commended by two Iranian ministries.

Representatives from Iran health and justice ministries presented their certificates of honor to director Masoud Jafari-Jozani in a private screening.

 The film was also admired by Tehran City Council and other NGOs involved in social issues due to special attention to breaking down stigma attached to HIV-positive patients.

The flick with star-studded cast led by ‘In the Eye of the Storm’ actress Jafari-Jozani is at the helm of her father Masoud Jafari-Jozani.

The film is co-produced by the director in collaboration with his daughter. The drama 'Behind the Wall of Silence' focuses on the volatile issue of HIV/AIDS, revealing the sickly fears chaining people to the social stigma around such health problem.

The 2017 Iranian cinema production boasting a string of stars such as Mahdi Ahmadi, Roya Teymourian, Amin Tarokh, Behzad Farahani, Fariba Motekhasses, Sima Tirandaz and Shaghayegh Farahani will be screened in select Iran cinemas soon.
