Iran short animation 'In the Crosshairs' to compete in UK fest

Iran short animation 'In the Crosshairs' is to vie at 2018 Southampton International Film festival in the UK.

Directed by Marzieh Kheirkhah, the film is about a soldier who finds a bird nest with an egg in it in his tank gun.

The five-minute flick has been produced using a sand powder technique and has special attention to ecosystem issues.

The film has, so far, won several awards including the best director award from the 2nd Kargil International Film Festival in India.

The Southampton International Film festival has selected 114 titles to screen at 2018 edition of the festival.

The seventh edition of the event is slated for October 17-21, 2018.
