Iran animated short headed to US

Iran animated short ‘Nobody’ is accepted into competition lineup of the 24th edition of St. Louis International Film Festival in the US.

Iran animated short ‘Nobody’ has made it to competition lineup of 2018 St. Louis International Film Festival in the US.

The 9-minute animation, which features no dialogue, tells the story of a white cat living in a city where black people reside. The cat tries hard to get food but no one seems bothered to give any.

‘Nobody’ has been previously announced to vie at the 2019 Student Academy Awards competition, the winners of which will be eligible for Oscar consideration.

The animation has so far succeeded to win Special Jury Award at the 11th edition of the ANIMANIMA International Animation Festival in Serbia in 2017.

St. Louis International Film Festival (also known as SLIFF or Cinema St. Louis) is an annual film festival established for the purpose of producing, promoting, and presenting annual film events to advance film as an art form.

The film event is scheduled for November 1 - 11, 2018 in Missouri, the United States.
