Iran film ‘Sheeple’ shines at Iran box office, rakes up over 30 billion Rials

Iran film ‘Sheeple’ has succeeded to sell over 30 billion Rials at the ticket window after 10 days of screening.

According to the Cinema ticket box office chart, the flick succeeded to attract the attention of cinemagoers and gained top position at the chart of Iran bestselling films for this week.

The flick has been ranked 1st among Iran high-grossing films such as ‘Millipede’, ‘Cold Sweat’, ‘Hashtag’, and ‘The lost Strait’.

So far, the total gross for the flick has reached 36,076,980,000 Rials.

“Two brothers are running and making Crystal meth in a hidden laboratory in middle of nowhere of an urban jungle and they do care for the honor of their neighborhood. All of a sudden a mobile footage on their sister’s spreading everywhere and this causes some strange incidents,” a short synopsis of the flick reads.

The cast list includes Navid Mohammadzadeh, Farid Sajadi-Hosseini, Farhad Aslani, Nazanin Bayati, Navid Pourfaraj, Marjan Ettefaghian, and Hamoun Seyedi.

'Sheeple' took part at competition section of the 36th edition of Fajr Film Festival and won 4 awards (Crystal Simorgh) for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Sound Mixing, Audience Choice Award and Best Film in 'Art and Experience' section.
