‘Empty View’ to go on screen at Strasburg Filmfest in US

Iran animation ‘Empty View’ is to be screened at Strasburg Film Festival in the US.

Iran animation ‘Empty View’ has been set to go on the silver screen at Strasburg Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Ali Zare-Qanatnowei, the animation is to take part at the competition section of the American film event. The flick is among the nominees for Best Animation Award.

'Empty View' was designed and produced during two years. It combines the 2D and 3D animation techniques for the first time in Iranian cinema on such scale.

The animation feature narrates the story of an old woman looking for the return of her missing son from the battle ground of an imposed war.

So far, the flick has won the best animation award at the UK Monthly Film Festival, Best Animation award from the December edition of the Los Angeles Film Awards in the US, Best Short Film Award at the 6th Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival in South Korea, and an award at the 8th Amsterdam Film Festival in the Netherlands.

Strasburg Film Festival is an annual film event that encourages filmmakers to submit their works of art so that all people will have an opportunity to enjoy their creativity.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for November 9-11.
