Iran short ‘Blue Sky, Clean Earth’ wins top prize at Int'l Student Film and Video Festival in Beijing, China.

Iran short ‘Blue Sky, Clean Earth’ has won top prize at the 17th edition of International Student Film and Video Festival in China.

The Outstanding Asian Film Award was given to Mahyar Mandegar the director of the film.

The award was presented to him by Professor Song Jing, dean of the school of photography, and Professor Wu Guanping, the head of film studies department.

A brief synopsis of the film reads, ‘Masoud is a young petty thief who is charged with much bigger crimes.’

The short won best film under 15 minutes and best cinematography from Image of the Year film festival in Iran. It also grabbed best original score from Nahal Short Film Festival in Iran.

‘Blue Sky, Clean Earth’ is currently competing at 14th edition of the Early Bird Film Festival in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

The International Student Film and Video Festival known as ISFVF is organized by Beijing Film Academy and held on campus in October every year.

The 17th ISFVF took place in Beijing on October 21-28, 2018.
