Iranian film ‘Reza’ is scheduled to go on screen at the 33rd Entrevues Belfort Film Festival in France.
Alireza Motamedi’s debut feature has made way into the screening program of the French festival.
Motamedi, however, has been denied a visa by the French government and cannot join the screening session of his film in France.
‘Reza’ narrates the story of a divorced guy who is trying to adapt to his post-divorce life while he finds a new romance.
Hollywood Reporter has described the film as “an utterly relaxed take on modern marriage and romance laced with the poignant ironies of a Woody Allen comedy.”
Sahar Dolatshahi, Setareh Pesyani, Reza Davoudnejad, Afsar Asadi and Solmaz Ghani make the cast team.
Alireza Motamedi is also one of the cast members of the flick.
‘Reza’ was previously screened at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran and was well-received by the film critiques.
It has also been screened at the 42nd Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.
The Entrevues Belfort is dedicated to supporting emerging filmmakers while playing host to sessions in the presence of filmmakers and guests.
The event is set for November 17-25, 2018.
