Iran musician Karen Homayounfar has been set to compose soundtrack for new feature film 'Plaything'.

The Iranian maestro who has made score for a big number of Iranian cinematic productions has now signed contract to make soundtrack for Mohammad-Ali Sajjadi's new film.

Homayounfar started his artistic life early on at the age of seven. He has made numerous pieces for award-winning Iranian films including his latest for Ebrahim Hatamikia's 'Damascus Time'.

He has also won several awards from national festivals such as Best Score Soundtrack for Ebrahim Hatamikia's 'Bodyguard' from the 34th Fajr Film Festival.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, 'Mehrdad marries Soudabeh who is his old friend Siamak's sister. Mehrdad takes his new bride to his childhood house to live together along with his mother. Unexpected events await them, though.'

Some of the cast members of the new film include Arman Darvish, Anahita Dargahi, Roya Teimourian, Reza Babak and Setareh Eskandari.

According to a media report, 'Plaything' is set to be premiered at 37th Fajr film Festival in Iran.
