Iranian drama film ‘The Painting Pool’ is set to go on screen in the capital city of Pakistan on November 17.

Mandwa Film Club in Islamabad will organize the screening session at Pakistan National Institute for Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) media center.

Directed by Maziar Miri, ‘The Painting Pool’ is a remarkable portrait of two people fighting for their right to be a family despite being mentally challenged.

They try hard to lead a regular life and care for their son, Soheil, but for them everything is a challenge, even cooking or crossing the street; let alone raising a normal child who soon realizes his mentally challenged parents are not like everybody else.

Earlier Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Film Club Coordinator Aijaz Gul said to local media that Iranian movies always attract crowd when screened in Pakistan.

He said as there is a lot of good will among the Pakistani people towards the brotherly country of Iran, so the people do like and enjoy Iranian movies.

The flick is the winner of big awards at Asia Pacific Screen Awards' Academy and 31st edition of Fajr Film Festival.
