ifilm star Houman Barqnavard has joined the cast of new romantic film ‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’.

ifilm comedy series ‘Cops and Robbers’ star Houman Barqnavard has joined the cast of new romantic film ‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ by Afshin Hashemi.

This is the second collaboration between Houman Barqnavard and Afshin Hashemi after the movie ‘Temporary License’.

Born in 1969, Barqnavard was born in a family of theater enthusiasts. He started his acting career with playing some roles in theatrical productions. He made his television debut in 1995.

ifilm viewers know him from ‘Cops and Robbers’ (2012), ‘The Bounced Check’ (2011-2012), ‘The Times’ (2012), ‘Chimney’ (2013), ‘Bad Days Pass’ (2013-2014), and ‘The Recluse’ (2014).

Barqnavard has also appeared in movies such as ‘A Piece of Bread’ (2004), ‘Retribution’ (2009), ‘The Queen’ (2011), ‘Strawberry Dessert ‘ (2011), ‘The Sinners’ (2012), ‘Hard Makeup’ (2013), and ‘A Nice Dinner’ (2014).

‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ is a rom-com movie which has been rewritten by Afshin Hashemi based on Persian humor.

The movie screenplay is inspired by Neil Simon who is known as America’s king of comedy playwrights.

“Someone from Shiraz, someone from Abadan; and both in Tehran have to cope with each other so that they can find coward Mahmoud,” plot summery to the flick reads.

Shabnam Moghaddami and Hossein Yari are two other Iranian stars who have already joined the project.
