Iran Short ‘Fault Line’ to vie at French filmfest

Iran Short 'Fault Line' (Gosal) is to vie at the 2019 Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Festival in France.

Iranian Short 'Fault Line' (Gosal) has been selected to vie at the 2019 edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France.

Directed by Soheil Amir-Ashrafi, the short flick will have its international premiere at the main competition section of the 41st edition of the French film event.

A brief synopsis for the film reads, “Nahal breaks her arm in a fight at school. A man comes to their school claiming that Nahal had her arm broken while riding a motorbike with his son.”

Some of the cast members of the short film are Baran Ahsaei, Khorshid Cheraqipour, Mahour Mirzanejad and Siamak Ehsaei.

Launched in 1979, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the biggest international short film festival and the second largest festival in France after the Cannes.

The latest edition of the festival is slated for February 01-09, 2019.
