Iran short ‘Fermysk’ wins award from 2018 Borobudur International Film Festival in Indonesia.

Iran short film ‘Fermysk’ has won an award from the 2018 edition of Borobudur International Film Festival in Indonesia.

Directed by Maryam Pirband, the short film received the Best Short Film award at the International Short Film section of the Indonesian film event.

‘Fermysk’ recounts the story of a young pregnant Kurdish girl who survived during a Daesh attack.

She comes out of Kurdistan with a group of refugees without any identification for a reason.

Two American volunteers, Tina and Victor, help her. Victor was a war veteran and does this for people affected by war in order to recover his conscience.

Suddenly something strange happens and they understand why she hides her identification.

The film has had several international screening, including the ASA International Humanitarian Film Festival in Germany.

Borobudur International Film Festival aims to preserve the culture and popularize the history of human civilization globally through filmmaking.
