‘The Misunderstanding’ directed by Ahmad-Reza Motamedi has released a brand new behind-the-scenes trailer ahead of its screening debut this week.
The film, produced by Jalil Shaabani, is a story about a group of film students in pursuit of an acting career who decide to take a wealthy girl hostage in order to fulfill their goal.
Gradually, the filmmaking along with the hostage situation begins to take a twisted turn, making it hard to differentiate between reality and illusion.
Many of Iran’s household names will be starring in the highly anticipated film, including Akbar Abdi, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, Merila Zarei, Kambiz Dirbaz, Pejman Jamshidi, and Hanieh Tavassoli.
The director’s seventh flick had received five nominations at last year’s Fajr Film Festival’s national competition.
Writer and director Ahmad-Reza Motamedi is no stranger to ifilmers as his movies ‘Alzheimer’ and ‘A Lunatic Fled the Cage’ have been featured on ifilm on numerous occasions.
‘The Misunderstanding’ will be screened in Iran’s movie theaters beginning Wednesday January 2, 2019.
