Big banner ‘Bomb: A Love Story’ has pulled off new promotional campaign heightening the fate of the film at the box office.
The advertising campaign to Peyman Moaadi’s award-winning ‘Bomb’ has flooded the markets with ‘paper rockets’ inscribed with the word ‘Bomb’ which symbolizes the very emotion of love and fear that the film tried to portray.
The campaign team has also asked the fans to send them a photo of their paper rockets using hashtag bomb (#bomb #بمب).
After building months of hype, ‘Bomb’ pulled in 40 billion Rials in Iran box office sales.
Much of their success could be attributed to efforts put into their viral marketing, print ads, and many public screenings with cast teams.
The 97-min fiction has also reached the No. 1 spot in its opening week, beating the previous opening records.
“It’s 1988 and, at the height of the Iran-Iraq War, Tehran is bombed relentlessly. The days that pass are full of foreboding, and yet, love, affection, hope and life itself manage to sweep away the fear of death from those surrounded by it. Love may often be difficult to comprehend, but death is a horrible certitude,” plot summery reads.
‘Bomb, A Love Story’ shows how, even when faced with the darkness of death, love and hope will find a way.
Renowned Iran actors Habib Rezaei, Siamak Safari, Leila Hatami, and Siamak Ansari have starred in the movie.
The director Peyman Moaadi has also made an appearance in his own flick.
The acclaimed title has won several nominations at the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
It has also attended the 6th International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey and the 4th CineIran Festival in Canada.
