‘The Pastry Girl’ star Hamid Jebeli is to put a collection of his photos on display in an exhibition at Tehran’s Atbin Gallery.
The actor, known for his roles in various films including ‘A Bad Friend’, took the photos while he was busy in a film project in the touristic resort of Masouleh in northern Iran.
“Our team travelled to Masouleh in 1988 for a film project but the season and climate change made us stay there for one year. I sometimes did film photography and took photos of the village since I always had my camera with me,” Jebeli said in a press release.
The collection is comprised of 70 photos which have been published in a book named ‘Masuleh 67’. A selection of 30 photos handpicked from the book will go on display in the gallery.
Last year, Jebeli displayed a collection of his paintings for the first time at Atbin Gallery.
On September 2018, the London branch of Contemporary and Modern Art Gallery (CAMA) also hosted an exhibition of photos by a number of prestigious Iranian filmmakers, in which photos by Jebelli were also exhibited.
The exhibit will kick off on January 18 and will be running until January 29 at the Atbin gallery in Tehran.
