‘The Chef’ director Mohammad-Reza Honarmand’s latest film ‘Symphony No. 9’, which is set to compete at the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival, has unveiled its second behind-the-scenes footage within a week.
The film, which recently wrapped up post-production, has sent its final copy to the Fajr Film Festival’s administrative office, and is set to make its screening debut on the event’s opening day this Wednesday January 30, 2019.
‘Symphony No. 9’ tells the story of a surgeon named Rahil who in order to fulfill his wife’s only wish, meets up with a shady man who changes his destiny forever.
Produced by Zeinab Taghvaee, the film’s cast team includes a list of familiar names such as Mohammad-Reza Foroutan, Pejman Bazeghi, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Alireza Kamali-Nejad, Sareh Bayat, Hamid Farrokhnejad, and Hoda Zeinolabedin.
Writer and director Mohammad-Reza Honarmand’s films are no stranger to ifilm viewers as he is known for his movies ‘The Wrong Guy’, ‘Dear, I’m in no Mood’, and ‘Mummy 3’, along with his series ‘The Chef’.
Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.
Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.
This year’s festival will be held from January 30-February 11, 2019 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
