‘Watching This Movie is a Crime’ logo unveiled

Official logo for ‘Watching This Movie is a Crime’ has been released.

Reza Zehtabchian’s directorial debut ‘Watching This Movie is a Crime’ which will be competing in this year’s Fajr Film Festival, has just released its official logo.

Produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafah, the film is set to take part at the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival’s New Look section for first-time directors.

‘Watching This Movie is a Crime’ is a political thriller centered on a hostage situation.

A brief excerpt from the film reveals: “All I wanted was a five-minute footage in order to defend my wife and daughter later, but they didn’t cut me a break… The sound of their sirens is getting closer… They’re going to pour in here any second now…”

The film’s cast will feature Amir Aqaee, Linda Kiani, Hossein Pakdel, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, and Hamid-Reza Pegah among others.

Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.

Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.

This year’s festival will be held from January 30-February 11, 2019 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, with the opening ceremony kicking off this evening at 18:00 local time.
