Fajr contender ‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ outs trailer

New doc ‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ reveals trailer before going on screen at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

New documentary ‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ has revealed a trailer before going on screen at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival (FFF).

Produced by Morteza Shabani and made by Reza Farahmand, the documentary tells the story of Mallouk, a ten year old boy who collects the copper wire along with his friends.

They gather the wire from homes which were demolished during war and sell the collection in order to make a living.

Their passion for the pursuit of a childhood dream, however, lightens the warmth of hope in their hearts, enabling them to find happiness among the ruins.

Established in 1982, the FFF is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local films.

Since its establishment, the festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 37th FFF is slated for January 30-February 11, 2019, in Tehran and several other Iranian cities.
