The first trailer for Iranian feature ‘Life Hanging’, competing at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival (FFF), has been released.
The trailer, made by Masoud Rafeizadeh, was unveiled on Wednesday, coinciding with the first day of the 37th FFF.
‘Life Hanging’ is one of the ten films that are taking part at the New Look (Negah-e No) section of the event.
"To God I swear, if you ask me about dinner or what we are going to have tonight once more, I'll hang myself here and right now, so you will forget all about food. No one dies of hunger!” the film's plot summary reads.
Jointly directed by Hossein Amiri-Domari and Pedram Pour-Amiri, the film is starring Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Baran Kosari, Javad Ezzati, Hamed Behdad and Masoud Keramati.
The festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the 40th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
The 37th edition of the FFF kicked off on January 30, 2019, and will run until February 11 in Tehran.
