‘Pedovore’ is to vie at Finland filmfest

‘Pedovore’ has been accepted to screen at the 2019 Tampere Film Festival in Finland.

Mohammad Kart’s short flick ‘Pedovore’ has been accepted to be screened at the 2019 Tampere Film Festival in Finland.

The short will experience its first international appearance by competing at the ‘International Competition: Big Sale’ section of the film event. The other five films that will attend the same category of the competition are from Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, Serbia and South Korea.

‘Pedovore’ is a social drama which zeros in on the issues of the youngsters dealing with problems like child labor, bad parenting or having no parents at all.

A brief synopsis of the film reads, ‘No one takes a child’s love seriously, while it is the purest. Nothing is as magnificent and robust as a kid’s love.’

Kart’s 19-minute film was premiered at the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Tampere Film Festival is a 5-day cinematic event that values film aesthetics as well as ethics.

The latest edition of the film festival is slated for March 6-10, 2019.
