Mohammad-Reza Honarmand’s ‘Symphony No.9’, a Fajr contender, has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage.
The released video contains the first minutes of the film's behind-the-scenes that depict Cyrus the Great, the Achaemenid-Persian king, and his eldest son Bardiya.
‘Symphony No.9’ is currently competing at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran. It has so far been well-received both by the audiences and the film critics.
The film tells the story of a surgeon named Rahil who meets up with a shady man in order to fulfill his wife’s only wish. And the shady man changes his destiny forever.
Some of the cast members of the film include familiar names such as Mohammad-Reza Foroutan, Pejman Bazeghi, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Alireza Kamali-Nejad, Sareh Bayat, Hamid Farrokhnejad, and Hoda Zeinolabedin.
Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.
Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.
This year’s festival has been slated for January 30-February 11, 2019, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
