Watch teaser of Fajr comedy flick ‘Buffoon’

Teaser for Homayoun Ghanizadeh’s debut feature and Fajr contender ‘Buffoon’ has been published.

The unveiled video for this comedy flick, which is currently screening at the main competition section of the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran, features ifilm star Ali Nasiriyan.

The film is also on screen at the ‘New Look’ section of the event.

Nasiriyan, who is known among ifilm viewers for appearing in a number of popular series such as ‘The Forbidden Fruit’, ‘Floating in a Bubble’ and ‘Neighbors’, portrays the role of a barber at his shop.

A brief synopsis of the film reads, “Danesh is bewitched by cinema and in love with Homa - the popular celebrity of the town. Kazem is engrossed with Casablanca and his work permit. Shapour is captivated by tuna fish. The city has become full of beggars, and it awaits an earthquake. Every now and then, a woman’s corpse is found at the shore with her head clean-shaven.”

Produced by Ali Mosaffa, the film’s cast includes Saber Abar, Babak Hamidiyan, Reza Kianian and Hediyeh Tehrani.

The 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival that kicked off on January 30 is currently in progress in the Iranian capital of Tehran. It is set to come to an end on February 11.
